Here is what is happening at the Prostate Center.

Save the date for the Guest Speaker Program—7 Feb 2019

Speaker: Dr. Camella Rising
Topic: “Fathers and Sons: Are They Talking about Prostate Cancer?”
Date: Thursday 7 Feb 2019
Time: Time: 1930-2030 (Please note the change in start time. 1930 instead of the usual 1900 hours).
Locations:
     1. Walter Reed: America building, 2nd floor, Room 2525. NOTE: A military ID card is required to get on base. Attendees without a military ID need to call the Prostate Center at 301-319-2900 at least 4 business days in advance to complete paperwork for gate access approval. Also bring some form of picture identification at the gate.
     2. Fort Belvoir Community Hospital: Oaks Pavilion, 1st floor, Room S.1.901 (Library Lecture Hall) via video teleconference . Note: A military ID is required to get on post at Fort Belvoir. Attendees without a military ID need to arrive at the gate about 1 hour before the meeting to complete paperwork for post access. Also bring some form of picture identification.

Family and friends are always welcomed (military and civilian).

Information/Support Group Meeting at Fort Belvoir Community Hospital

Meetings are every 2nd Thursday of the month

Date: Thursday 14 Feb
Times: 1300-1400 and 1830-1930
Location: Urology Clinic (2nd floor, Sunrise Pavilion)

Note: A military ID is required to get on post at Fort Belvoir. Attendees without a military ID need to arrive at the gate about 1 hour before the meeting to complete paperwork for post access. Also bring some form of picture identification.

Family and friends are always welcomed (military and civilian).

Information/Support Group Meeting at Walter Reed

Meetings are every 3rd Thursday of the month

Date: Thursday 21 Feb
Times: 1300-1400 and 1830-1930
Location: River Conference Room, America Building, 3rd floor (next to Prostate Center).
Parking: America Garage

Note: A military ID card is required to get on base. Attendees without a military ID need to call the Prostate Center at 301-319-2900 at least 4 business days in advance to complete paperwork for gate access approval. Also bring some form of picture identification at the gate.

Nutrition Support

Ms Robyn Rockwell is our Registered Dietitian Nutritionist who provides nutrition counseling for cancer patients being treated at Walter Reed.

To schedule an appointment, call the Outpatient Nutrition Clinic at 301-295-4065. No referral is needed for an appointment. Just call.
